When you consider the alternative to becoming a vegetarian, i.e. continuing to eat fat- laden, artery clogging, chemical and hormone filled meat products, it can be a sobering thought.

Why had you not considered this before?
Why are none of your friends vegetarian if it makes so much sense?
If any of your friends are vegetarians I bet they will be helpful and supportive to you if you talk to them about the subject..
They will be able to help you on what to buy, where to shop, the best deals etc and of course with recipes and ideas on meals...
You will find there is a massive thriving community of like- minded people and an enormous resource of information and articles available on the web that will make you really glad you made this all important change in your lifestyle.
